Walaupun hadiah tak seberapa (Camera Compact PnS aje) namun pengalaman itu amatlah dihargai. Mereka merupakan seperti merpati dua sejoli. 3 hari 2 malam majlis berlangsung. Meriah dan boleh dikatan "Grand" juga majlis mereka.

Majlis Akad Nikah Azua dan Rosdi. 080808 Keratong 5. Tarikh yang ramai orang dah booking. Kebetulan pula saya baru menceburi bidang ini, berkat kursus Photocamp, teknik asah mata membantu saya menjalankan kerja dengan hasil yang lebih baik. Namun, benchmark yang di atas masih tak tercapaian lagi. Usaha yang lebih diperlukan. Kepada Wawa dan Andak, (Pak Andak dan Mak Andak??) Tahniah diucapkan. Majlis mereka ringkas, simple, ala-ala kampung, masih meriah dengan tetamu, walaupun pada masa yang sama ada 4 lagi kenduri di dalam Keratong 5.

Budak baru belajar pun dah pandai shoot macam pro. Yang dah pro lagi boleh jadi Pro. Tahniah bagi Team CS dan Saiful Nang kerana berjaya menganjurkan kem ini.

Hari Keluarga Kumpulan Perodua diadakan di Sunway Lagoon pada 19hb Julai 2008 yang lalu. Sebagai salah seorang Official Photographer, memang kami bersaing dengan Official Photographer lain dari kumpulan Sunway untuk dimasukan dalam corporate track record mereka dan jurugambar dari Search Media, jurugambar rasmi Kumpulan Search. Memang grand dan meriah. Acara pagi penuh dengan gimik pembukaan dan sukaneka. Petang pula dimeriahkan dengan konsert kecil kumpulan Search. Gambar di atas adalah MD baru Perodua, datang khas dari Jepun.

Yang seronok mandi ni bukan abang-abang Celcom ye.

Percaya atau tidak, 3 hari secara berterusan selama 13 jam membuat sesi fotografi sangat-sangat memenatkan. Sehingga hari ini, saya masih sakit tekak lagi, anak tekak menjadi merah. Hari Isnin, badan saya masih sengal-sengal sakit otot lagi. Semuanya itu berbaloi. Banyak yang saya belajar dari partner saya hari itu, En. Korie. Walaupun baru berkenalan, sesungguhnya pengalaman itu berharga sekali. Fazrul dan Sarah pula 'sporting' dan tak segan-silu dengan kami. Sudah agak lama juga majlis ini baru dapat post. Pasangan ini merupakan rakan karib sewaktu berkhidmat di negeri Pahang. Saya jaga Rompin, dia jaga Pekan. Masing-masing orang rumah kerja KL.

Mencabar juga waktu sesi penggambaran kali ni. Hujan renyai, sekejap-sekejab lebat. Macam mana agaknya rasa shooting sambil tangan sebelah pegang payung??

Rakan-rakan pengantin pun bermesyuarat tentang apakah akan kiranya akan berlaku sekira hujan masih tidak putus-putus.

Maka berpayunglah sekalaian rombongan pengantin lelaki menemui sang puteri tak kira selebat mana pun langit mencurahkan air matanya. Sudah agak lewat, namun hajat tetap diteruskan.

Maka tibalah sang puteri dengan kadar segera untuk menyelesaikan majlis sebelum pakar perunding hujan tidak mampu lagi menahan kandungan langit yang ingin menyambung curahan airnya.

Basah sikit pun takpe lah Shahrul. Dengan hujan, campur pelbagai tol dan lain-lain lagi, akhirnya ke jinjang pelamin juga kau.

Menang tu menang, yang tak tahan tu kene cubit..ARGH!

Model Photo Contest semasa Photoweek anjuran Profoto, Maju Junction. Gambar di atas berjaya mendapat tempat ke 5. Hmm... Tak sangka menang pun. Masuk sebab nak cari pengalaman. Selalu kawan baik saya bertanya; "Ada gambar kau yang dah boleh jual ke?" Kutukan, kritikan.... Nah ini jawapannya. Kemahiran saya sudah meningkat. Cuma belum tahap DEWA (Kata slanga orang muda sekarang). Isteri saya bangga. Cuma, lepas tu dia cubit lengan saya dengan berkata;"Gambar cantik, tapi jangan gatal-gatal lagi ambik gambar macam ni tau!"

An extraordinary monsoon season currently affecting my area with extraordinary rainfall and flood. By the look of the satellite image above, is is terrible. Being in the Crisis Management Center of a district is totally overwhelming experience. One thing for sure. There's always flood victims and there's always opportunist, trying to seek profit out of all this natural disaster by trying to be in the list of the flood victims and receiving helps from the government and the private sector.

Funny thing about RM 50 notes. Every time I withdraw money from ATM machines, I always get RM 50 notes. It is rare for me to get RM 10 notes. And RM50 notes a prone to rejections by small businesess. There have been a few rejections recently, by shopkeepers, restaurants, and even a petrol station. As if the RM50 note is worthless.

The first incident happens 3 days ago when I want to make a payment for the meal I had with a few friends. The restaurant’s cash register attentdent refused to accept my RM50 and I was forced to use all my coins and borrow from my friends. The dinner was supposed to be on me, but it didn’t go through well.

And I thought that was it, until I went to JB today. I woke up early today and immediately packed up and ride my bike to KL to catch a bus to JB. On my way, I withdrawn a few hundreds ringgit for my expenses. The crisis was triggered when I want to pay for my parking. The Puduraya parking attendence didn’t have enough small change for my RM 50 note. I’m not paying like a small amount of RM1, 2 or 3 ringgit. The amount was RM 7.50 and how come they are running a business without small change and it was 8.30am in the morning?

And so, I made a U-turn at the parking lot and went to the nearest petrol station. Then, the same thing happen again. The pump attendence and the whole workers at that station didn’t have small change. Time almost runing out because the bus will be leaving puduraya at 9.00am. Next, I ride my bike to Jln Loke Yu, almost 3 km away and pump a little bit petrol into my bike and got some small change.

After that, I paid for my parking and left my bike at Puduraya to board a bus to JB. After this, I plan to use RM50 notes only at Petrol Stations where they have more smaller denominatios of RM notes to give to there customers since I only fill up my bike’s petrol tank around RM4 to RM 6. It should give me enough smaller denominations to pay to other businesses who don’t have enough money to change for RM50 notes.

Kerajaan mampu kesan pemilik laman forum

PUTRAJAYA 21 Sept. – Menteri Tenaga, Air dan Komunikasi, Datuk Seri Dr. Lim Keng Yaik memberi amaran kepada pemilik laman forum (blog) di negara ini bahawa kerajaan mempunyai keupayaan mengesan mereka.

Sehubungan itu, beliau mengingatkan pengendali laman forum itu supaya berhati-hati dan jangan sesekali melanggar undang-undang negara.

‘‘Anda sembanglah (blog) walau apa pun tetapi jangan langgar undang-undang negara. Berhati-hati, kerana kami boleh mengesan anda,’’ katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar selepas merasmikan Forum Kebangsaan Tenaga Boleh Diperbaharui di Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Putrajaya (PICC) di sini hari ini.

Keng Yaik ditanya sama ada kementerian akan mengemukakan kertas cadangan kepada Kabinet bagi mengawal kegiatan laman forum itu.

Mengulas soalan tersebut, Keng Yaik berkata: ‘‘Saya tidak pernah terfikir untuk melakukannya.’’

Beliau menambah, undang-undang sedia ada sudah memadai bagi mengawal kegiatan tidak bertanggungjawab di Internet termasuk laman forum.

Pada majlis itu, Keng Yaik turut menyaksikan upacara menandatangani memorandum persefahaman (MoU) antara Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (PTM) dan MHES Asia Sdn. Bhd. bagi membangunkan projek berskala penuh penghasilan tenaga berasaskan teknologi Biomass di Serting, Negeri Sembilan.

Gen 2 and Racing Boy sport rims

I'm in a process of getting a new car. Since I retired my SAGA last year, a new GENeration of car would be nice, considering that I travel almost 1,000 km a week traveling from my workplace to home. Meanwhile, I had upgraded my bike to use new sport rims from Racing Boy to match with new tubeless tires. At lest I reduce the risk of flat tire by 50%. If I told you my experience, having a flat tire on the highway near to the top of a mountain is not very pleasing at all.

While I am a UPM graduate, it really sucks when things got racial in the campus. I was the vice president of the business admin club and one of the activities of the club was helping new students during the registration week. Taking from my background as a former MRSM student, I don't have any problem dealing with CGPA and adapting to campus lifestyle. So the club help new students coping with their new life as a UPM students. What I don't understand is why the malay students harrasing the chinese that wants to help? Anyway, here's a good example of Chinese and Malays working as a team.

Stunt Kites Basic Lesson

Funny things happen when I went back to Rompin from Shah Alam today. I stumble upon Teratak Zaaba, a wooden house dedicated in memories of the great father of the current Malay Language used today. I was a fluke actually. I intended to go to Sri Jempol via a shortcut through FELDA areas, however, I took a wrong turn and stoped by at this lovely house. Then I went through the town of Bahau, which I suppose don't have to go through. Anyway, soory guys, I don't have time to go inside. Maybe later.

Hawk 208 crashed and the Sultan concern

The recent Hawk 208 crashed in the area around Rompin, Pahang brought into Sultan Ahmad Shah attention after almost a week Search and Rescue (SAR) operation. Looks like His Majesty really concern about the mens under his command. Here's a picture of one of the RMAF's Hawk 208 during LIMA years ago.

He arrived in an Agusta 190.

Almost my turn... get ready.

The Hawk 208 was flying in pairs. They were on routine Ground Attack Training. Base on the briefing, the planes were flying from Kuantan air base anti-clockwise on the map shown by the Air-Force Officer here. The planes diverted their flight course because of a thunderstorm around the cost of Rompin, during that time, the control tower lost contact with the ill-fated plane. After emerging out of the cloud, the lead plane noticed that his wingman was missing.

His Majesty and The Menteri Besar looks very concern about this matter.

Later, His Majesty met up with the parents of the downed pilot, giving them assurance that the military will do their best finding their son. I still remember His Majesty said to the DO, "You need to use the orang kampung, RELA, penoreh getah, comb the inner land of Rompin.......". The DO just nodded.

His Majesty does not even bothered to use the red carpet. Before he boarded the chopper, he gave a very loud Salam to all the people.

And the search goes on... Until today

Looks like RMAF uses a female pilot this time. Very rare to see women pilots in action.

Kites dancing in the sky

People love entertaiment. And people over here love kite flying because it is entertaining. As long as it flies to the sky, people will pay, RM5, RM10 RM 20 or even RM350 or USD 1000!

There are many form of kites, Small kites for children, Big kites for adults and children on budget, really big kites for adults who don't mind spending RM50 to RM100, it is big, fly high and hard to bring it to the ground. I've tried two of these, these kites really fly high, I need a strong fishing string to fly the kites.

Last and the best with RM350 to USD 1000 I can get a Stunt Kite with dual line fully carbon frame. I can fly it like a fighter plane, ripping off other kites. Using gloves on both hands is compulsory.

Here's a short video how a stunt kite can perform.

P/S: I can get it for RM65, heh, heh, heh. ;-P

The coming of a storm

Suddenly the wind dies. Kites played by the children fell to the ground. The sky went darker each minutes. A thunderstorm is going to hit the beach.

And the rain hit the beach hard far away from my position. My camera was facing the Port of Kuantan

A tourist asked me, "Where can I see water buffollos being used to pull fishermen's boat from the sea onto the beach?"

"Well, here's the place of course, Pantai Beserah"
However, I saw something else pulled a boat on the beach right after the storm.

The state Masjid of Kuantan

When I first arrived in Kuantan, this is my first destination. An R&R for muslims physically and mentally. Love the colour. The interiors are great.

The great thing is that my HQ is just in the vacinity of the Masjid. 5 minutes walk, that's it. Now that's what I called convenience.

I remember my first Friday prayer in Masjid Putrajaya years ago. Cars were parked almost everywhere so my friends and I parked far away from the Masjid. By the time I saw the masjid, Imam already started the first sermon. By the time I was halfway to the Masjid, Imam already started the 2nd sermon. By the time I arrived, Khatib started Iqamah, then both of us ran down to the Masjid and just in time for the first Takbir.

For so many reasons (don't ask me why) after my family trip to Kelantan 10 years ago, the view of the sea from here is so beautiful. The lens was at max zoom, and I push the digital zoom further. Some people doesn't appreciate the paradise at their back yard. Wish this area is my backyard.

The ex-KD Sri Terengganu

The Malaysian Royal Navy started to replace this old Patrol Boat and planned to replace it with the new Patrol Vessal a.k.a PV since the 1990s. A good roti canai comes from a 'very good' mixture of flour, oil and eggs plus the skills of the cook. Using all kind of stunts and style, they can twitst, spin, or even toss the roti canai up into the air. Of course, doing it for a long duration of time can make the roti canai unedible because of the dust and dirt it collect. Look at this guy with his skills of making canai.
